Tatiana Tisdale (b. 2004, Lancaster, PA) is a self-taught mixed media artist whose vibrant, emotionally charged work explores themes of healing, identity, and connection. Known for her intuitive use of bold color, layered textures, and fluid composition, Tisdale creates paintings that are deeply rooted in both personal experience and universal feeling.
Working primarily in acrylics, inks, oil pastels, and dry media, her process is instinctual and improvisational , often led by rhythm, movement, and a deep connection to music. With an eclectic taste ranging from Chet Baker and Janis Joplin to Korn, Parliament, and Chris Stapleton, Tatiana allows the energy of sound to guide her hand and shape the emotional tone of each piece. Music, to her, is more than background noise , it’s a language she translates visually.
Tatiana draws inspiration from her lived experience, a strong sense of self nurtured by a creative and supportive family, and a belief that art can offer healing and presence in a world that often demands performance and profit. Her layered, process-driven style invites viewers to slow down and feel, to enter into a conversation with what’s been hidden, hurt, or held.
Her most recent body of work, Trauma Bonds & Paper Trails, honors the people who have offered her unwavering support through difficult times. Each painting is dedicated to someone who stayed when things fell apart, a visual thank-you rooted in love, loyalty, and emotional truth.
Tisdale has exhibited her work in galleries across Pennsylvania and beyond, placing over 40 pieces in private collections. She continues to build her practice with integrity, inviting others to witness, reflect, and connect through the raw beauty of layered experience.
